It was until the former Indian captain and star player Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper KL Rahul took the steering in their hands. Kohli played an excellent inning of 85 runs off 116 balls before getting dismissed off a Josh Hazlewood delivery in the 38th over. Rahul, on the other hand, stood firm and played an explosive innings to guide the team to the other side.
Rahul was batting at 91 when the team needed five runs to win the match. The 31-year-old who was looking forward to scoring his seventh ODI century pulled a shot to hit a four. However, the shot was so powerful that it landed straight among the audience and recorded a massive six.
The unexpected maximum left the cricketer shocked and while he was happy for the win, the disappointment of not being able to complete his century seemed to have left him confused for a second.

Speaking about the winning six, Rahul said, " I hit it too well, I just calculated how to get to a 100 in the end. The only way for 4 and a six, but no qualms on not getting to that hundred." Notably, India registered a six-wicket win over Pat Cummins's side.
