The Indian team lost Shubman Gill (9 in 13 balls) and Virat Kohli (0 in 9 balls) in quick succession but managed to steady up with captain Rohit Sharma continuing his stellar batting form from the other end. Iyer, India's number four, started off well but once again perished against the short ball.

Once again in trouble, Sharma stitched up a crucial partnership with KL Rahul but England once again found a breakthrough courtesy of David Willey. Soon Rohit also got out at 89 but with Suryakumar Yadav's 49 and quality knocks by Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, the Men in Blue crawled to a total of 229.

Building on the momentum of the last few overs, Indian bowlers started off on the front foot. Jasprit Bumrah opened the floodgates by dismissing Joe Root and Dawid Malan on back-to-back deliveries. Soon Mohammed Shami joined the party and India ran through the English middle-order.

For England, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone put up a short partnership but Kuldeep Yadav's magic as India soon got back into the game. Finishing off the game, it once again was Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami to clean up the tail and give India a 100-run win.
