The Rohit Sharma-led Team India will return to action after an extended break this month. The Men in Blue will host their near neighbours, Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, starting September 19 followed by three-match T20I series. As the side will see the return of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, several other young cricketers like Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal will also be seen in action.

As the sides will take the field, skipper Rohit Sharma and youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal will be looking to achieve major landmarks in 2024. The 37-year-old Rohit Sharma is just 10 runs away from scoring 1000 runs this year in international cricket. Yashasvi Jaiswal eyes major six-hitting record; just one six away to break Ben Stokes' record

The young Indian batsman, Yashasvi Jaiswal is also eyeing another record as he sits just eight sixes away from becoming the batter with most Test sixes in a calendar year. However, Brendon McCullum sits at the top of the list with 33 sixes, which he scored from nine matches in 2014. The 22-year-old will get past England’s red-ball captain, Ben Stokes, who has hit as many sixes this year as Jaiswal, if he scores one six.

Jaiswal has scored 740 runs in six matches at an average of 74.00 with his highest score of 214*. In six Test matches, Jaiswal has hit 26 sixes and 74 fours.
