The Men in Blue took on Pakistan in a high-octane clash at the Narendra Mordi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14, Saturday. While the match was majorly ruled by the host nation, India as Indian bowlers reduced Pakistan to 191/10 in 42.5 overs and thereafter chased down the target in just 30.3 overs.

While all Indian bowlers, expect Shardul Thakur scalped two wickets each, skipper yet again proved his mettle in the 50-over format with a score of 86 off 63 deliveries, along with Shreyas Iyer’s half century. The on-field pressure might be different, the spectators also were witness of a heated scuffle between female police personnel and a fan.
The off-the field altercation between the two in the stands unfolded, it resulted into a physical one, with other fans stepping up to stop it all. The video of the same has gone viral since then and has been shared by a lot of users on the microblogging site X.
Talking about the match, India extended their lead to 8-0 over Pakistan in World Cups, beating the neighbouring nation by seven wickets. With a win in Ahmedabad, the Rohit Sharma-led side went to the top of the table in the points table having won all three fixtures so far in the tournament.
