The captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, has hit top form in Mumbai Indians colours in the IPL after so many years, scoring runs freely at the top of the order, and at a high strike-rate of 167.30. The 36-year-old has got 261 runs in six matches for MI at an average of 52.20, which includes a century in a losing cause at the Wankhede Stadium against CSK.

Shubman Gill, who is captaining Gujarat Titans for the first time in IPL 2024, has been one of the best batters in the tournament in recent years. In his six matches for GT this season, he has scored 255 runs at an average of 51 and a strike-rate of 151.78.
