Preview
In Match 62 of IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on each other. It will be a battle between a team that is qualified (Gujarat) and a team that has been knocked out of the tournament (Chennai). Although the result of this game will not affect the dynamics of the points table, fans will be excited to see how CSK bounce back after a humiliation against Mumbai.
Pitch Report
The Wankhede pitch is tad sluggish as compared to the other three venues in IPL 2022. Runs have not been easy to score here. In bowling, pacers have enjoyed a bit of help. So, it is expected to remain the same for CSK vs GT clash.
Team Analysis
Chennai Super Kings:
Chennai have had their issues this season and that’s the reason they are languishing at the bottom of the points table. In their last game against Mumbai, CSK collapsed and got bowled out for a mere 97. However, there were a few positives to look at as well. MS Dhoni’s form with the bat this season has been one of the few positives for CSK. Also, the fast-bowling pair of Mukesh Choudhary and Simarjeet Singh looked lethal against MI and as Dhoni said, they are the future of the team. Now, with only a couple of games left, CSK management will look to try and test their strength.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Dwayne Bravo, Maheesh Theekshana, Simarjeet Singh, Mukesh Choudhary
Gujarat Titans:
Gujarat Titans have played like a champion team in the league stages of the tournament so far. They have already qualified for the playoffs with two games still left. Every game has had a different match-winner for GT. Now, with the knockout stage around the corner, GT management will try to make use of the left league games to prepare and test the bench strength. Abhinav Manohar may be called back while Lockie Ferguson can also get another chance.

Match Prediction
Conclusion
Gujarat have looked formidable this season and have won difficult games as well. Meanwhile, CSK have not been in their best form. Thus, GT remain the favorite to win Sunday’s first match.
