Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 80 runs in match number 15 of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens. It turned out to be a one sided contest for KKR who went on to post 200 runs for six wickets and bowled SRH out for just 120 runs in 16.4 overs. Vice-captain Venkatesh Iyer was top scorer with a knock of 60 runs off 29 balls, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 50 runs off 32 balls. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Rinku Singh also contributed with 38 runs and 32* runs respectively. Apart from that, Varun Chakravarthy and Vaibhav Arora also scalped three wickets each.
Both Varun Chakravarthy and Vaibhav Arora saw a jump in their standings for the IPL 2025 Purple cap. Both the bowlers have taken six wickets each in IPL 2025 so far. Moreover, Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmed is at the top of the list with nine wickets in just three matches.
