Lionel Messi, the Argentine footballing superstar, is happily married to his wife Antonela Roccuzzo for the better part of the last eight years, and they are proud parents to three sons, namely Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. In a latest development, it was reportedly stated in the media that Antonela Roccuzzo has been planning to get pregnant, but a reporter spoke to her, to which she told that the rumour of her pregnancy is fake.

Notably, Argentine journalist Naiara Vecchio recently had told Hola, a Spanish media outlet, that the reported rift between Lionel Messi and Antonela Roccuzzo is far from true unlike what's been said in the media. She was quoted as saying about the situation in the Messi Family, “When it comes to Lionel and Antonela Roccuzzo, I talked to their close circle and they told me they were doing great, in fact, they're looking to have a baby girl.”

But, sometime later, another Argentine journalist Angel de Brito reportedly talked to Antonela Roccuzzo about the rumours surrounding her pregnancy on his X account, wherein he was told that this isn’t correct. He wrote, “I spoke to Antonela and she told me that the rumour of her pregnancy is fake. She said that the media has been trying to get her pregnant for the past three years!”

Just a couple of years ago, Lionel Messi had spoken about maybe wanting to have another child by saying, “We'd like to have a baby again. We're not on the lookout but let's see if a baby girl arrives,” but it’s been categorised as fake news by many. Moreover, the 37-year-old is currently in the midst of pre-season with Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami, and his team drew the game 2-2 against Orlando City at the Raymond James Stadium last night.

The opening match of the new MLS season for Inter Miami will be on Saturday, February 22, against New York City at the Chase Stadium.
