Former India cricketer S Sreesanth gave a befitting reply to the Pakistan team director’s remark on ICC and BCCI. Pakistan director Mickey Arthur made a remark after India and Pakistan’s clash in the ODI World Cup 2023 clash and said that the match looked more like a BCCI event rather than an ICC event. Not only this, but Arthur also complained about the lack of support for the Men in Green at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, the remark didn’t go well with Indian fans and former Indian players, one of them is Sreesanth. The former fast bowler who was in interaction with Sportskeeda said that the India clashes always look like a BCCI event, and also insisted that Arthur should be shown the ‘83’ movie, along with subtitles.

The former cricketer said, “Wherever India plays, it never seems like an ICC event is going on. It will always seem like a BCCI event. We should show him the movie 83 with subtitles. Then he can understand where BCCI was and where it is now. The journey is very important. It's a motivational and inspirational story."

Sreesanth went on to say, “BCCI has risen to the top on its own with much difficulty. The administrators and players are very good now. Even if our C team plays in the World Cup, it would be a brilliant team. What will the ICC say? All the revenues and everything… Would Mickey Arthur have said the same thing if the World Cup was being held in England? Even when I played in Durban for two years, I felt I was in India.”

Notably, India took down Pakistan with a margin of seven wickets in their eighth World Cup clash.
