Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James credited his former coach Ty Lue after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in a thrilling 106-103 victory. The 39-year-old had to once again put in a tasking shift to carry the struggling Lakers over the finish line. King James dropped 25 points with seven assists and eight rebounds while shooting 11-19 from the field.

After securing the win, LeBron James was asked about cross-town rivals by a reporter who referred to them as ' James Harden Clippers'. King James corrected the journalist and called  the Los Angeles Clippers Ty Lue's team. He further spoke about how the former Cleveland Cavaliers coach took five games but since then they have made massive improvements.

"They look great. You said the James Harden Clippers? Nah, it's the T-Lue Clippers," James said. "I know T-Lue very well. It don't take T-Lue long to make sure s--- get right. It took him five games, and they've been cooking since."

Talking about the Lakers' performance, LeBron spoke about how the team has struggled over the last 10-12 games but will look to use this win as a springboard to improve. Speaking after the game, James said,  "Try to use this to try to catapult a little bit better play from us."

"But it still doesn't take away from the fact of how we've been playing like the last 11, or 12 games. Tonight was a good start. Hopefully, we can start from here and continue to build," he continued.
