The final league stage fixture of PSL 2024, which took place between table-toppers Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday, March 12, caught eyeballs from all across. Not only did the match saw the lowest total of this season thus far, some heated moments also lighted up the field.
The Match 30 saw England batter Jason Roy get involved in a heated exchange with Iftikhar Ahmed during the Quetta Gladiators inning. The incident took place in the third over of the second inning when David Willey trapped Roy in front of the stumps. As the Quetta opener walked towards Saud Shakeel to discuss for a review in disappointment, Iftikhar uttered some words, leaving the English batter unimpressed. Talking about the PSL 2024, which has reached its penultimate stage, saw Multan Sultans finish at the top spot after the 79-run win over Quetta Gladiators on Tuesday. As the action now shifts to the playoffs, the Mohammad Rizwan-led side will take on Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi in Qualifier on March 14, while the Gladiator will play Islamabad United in the Eliminator 1 on March 15.
