KL Rahul, the star batter and wicket keeper of the Indian cricket team, is set to make a surprise comeback from his injury for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Rahul, who had a thigh injury during the IPL 2023, has been recovering well and is expected to join the Indian squad for the continental tournament, which will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17.


Rahul missed the WTC Final and the West Indies tour after missing the second half of the IPL season for the Lucknow Super Giants. As per the video released by RevSportz, Rahul can be seen in good touch as he rehabilitates at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Rahul, who will have to prove his fitness and form in a few practices matches before the Asia Cup, where he will be a vital part of India's batting line-up.

Rahul is almost at the top of his game when it comes to batting, keeping, and fielding, according to sources close to the media outlet. In the video, he can be seen running, taking throwdowns, alongside Virat Kohli, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah.

Rahul's return will be a huge boost for India, who are placed in Group A along with Pakistan and Nepal. India will face their arch-rival Pakistan on September 2 at the Pallekele Stadium in what is expected to be a high-voltage encounter. India will also hope that Rahul will be available for the ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India in October-November.
