In what could be a hint of big development in IPL 2022, star Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne was clicked with Jason Behrendorff in his recent social media post. What became the talking point of the picture was the caption itself in which the bowler has said that he will be joining his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore who included him at his base price of 75 lakhs.

However, the image has led to the speculation that even his travelling partner might be coming to India. While there is no official confirmation on the same, if this is true, it is in all probability related to the IPL and Labuschagne may well have been offered a deal as a replacement of an injured or unavailable player after getting unsold at the IPL 2022 mega auctions.

Have a look at the Behrendorff Insta story here:

Earlier, Labuschagne had himself revealed three teams that he would ideally want to play for in IPL. His tweet dated February 4, 2022 read: "Over the years I've always loved watching RCB, CSK & MI."

Here is his tweet:

Whether he indeed gets an opportunity to play for any one of these sides this season is something that only time will tell. However, his fellow Australian cricketer's post has certainly spiced up the excitement for those waiting to see the cricketer in IPL.

Overall in 26 T20 games, the right-handed batter has 668 runs at an average of 29.04 and a strike rate of 126.75. He has accumulated these runs with the help of 4 fifties.
