Ferrari have put an end to the speculations brimming over Mattio Binotto. The Prancing Horse confirmed his departure post the conclusion of 2022 season.

Binotto who joined Ferrari as an engine engineer in 1995, took over as the Team Principal of Ferrari in 2019 after Maurizio Arrivabene’s departure.

“I am leaving a company that I love, which I have been part of for 28 years, with the serenity that comes from the conviction that I have made every effort to achieve the objectives set”, said Binotto.

The team after this announcement added that “the process is underway to identify Scuderia Ferrari’s new Team Principal and is expected to be finalised in the new year”.

Talking by the Prancing Horse’s 2022 season, the side finished second after red Bull Racing with 554 points. While Charles Leclerc finished second in the Drivers’ Standing with 308 points, Carlos Sainz finished fifth with 246 points.
