Chenn ai Super Kings pulled off a dominant 20-run win over the Mumbai Indians on the back of incredible finishes towards the end of both innings. With this victory, the Super Kings consolidated their spot in the top four while Mumbai were still languishing in eighth place on the table.

Then in the second innings, Mumbai openers continued their brilliant form as Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma posted a quick-fire 70-run stand.
But after cruising with the bat, MI suffered two quick blows and made way for Tilak Varma, who played a crucial 31-run knock. But after this performance, Mumbai's batting got derailed as they lost quick wickets while Rohit Sharma held one end up.
This bowling effort turned the game in Chennai's favour as they registered a 20-run as Matheesha Pathirana starred with a magical spell of 4-28 in four overs. For Mumbai, the Indian captain remained not out on 105 in 63 balls with 11 fours and five sixes.
