Arsenal had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Liverpool during the Premier League at Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday, October 27.  However, the Gunners lost two of their key players including Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber as both were forced to leave the field after sustaining injuries. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta then opened up on the key players, adding that he is also unsure of the return of both players. 

Arsenal were already missing their key players before the start of the game, including Martin Odegaard and defender Riccardo Calafiori due to injuries. On the other hand, William Saliba also couldn’t be a part of the fixture due to suspension. The situation worsened when Gabriel and Timber were forced to leave the field during the second half. This also affected the result as Arsenal lost their early 2-1 lead and had to settle on 2-2 draw against Liverpool. 

Circumstances are going to make us better: Mikel Arteta

When asked about Gabriel Magalhaes’ injury, Mikel Arteta seemed concerned and said that he couldn’t run for now due to an issue in his joints and knee. The Arsenal manager said, “For sure, he could not run. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know if it’s the knee joint or the ankle. They’re assessing him.” Talking about Jurrien Timber, Arteta said, “Well I don't know exactly what happened (with Timber) but he said he cannot carry on.”

Talking about the current situation, Mikel Arteta mentioned that Arsenal are looking for a positive approach to handle ongoing circumstances. He said  as quoted in India Today,  “This is football. Circumstances are going to make us better, they are making us better," he concluded, keeping a positive outlook as Arsenal look to navigate the season's physical demands.” Arsenal are set to face Newcastle in their upcoming Premier League fixture at St James Park on November 2.
