The Women’s Ashes Test match in Nottingham, England was witness to a heart-warming moment as Australia captain Alyssa Healy’s husband and fellow Aussie star Mitchell Starc was spotted outside Trent Bridge. The Australian team chose to bat as Healy was leading her national team for the first time in the historic series.

Supporting his wife, Mitchell Starc, who is also playing the Men’s Ashes, was seen standing outside the stadium in the queue as he waited to get in. The image of the same has gone viral on social media as fans praised the left-arm seamer. Along with Starc, Alyssa’s mother Sandy Healy was seen in the queue as the pair were hoping for a result similar to the men’s team in the first Test.

Talking about the match, Australia put forth a decent total of 213 before rain played spoilsport as the match was paused. Debutant Phoebe Litchfield got out after a promising 23 in 32 balls. But the star of the first innings was Ellyse Perry as she posted a stunning 82 in 121 balls before the play was stopped.

Coming back to Healy, the 32-year-old wicketkeeper was determined to fully embrace the moment and enjoy her captaincy debut in the longest captaincy. “A sense of nervousness, but I think at the same time, it’s mainly excitement. This is probably one of the most hyped women’s Ashes series that I’ve been a part of over here and on the back of what took place at Edgbaston (Australia men’s Test victory at Edgbaston) it’s a really exciting time to be over here to play cricket," Healy was quoted by cricket.com.au.
