Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni met the Oscar winner documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ director Kartiki Gonsalves, and the couple, Bomman and Bellie at the Chepauk Stadium. The four-time IPL winning captain also gifted them CSK t-shirts with their names printed on the back. The Elephant Whisperers won the Best Documentary Short at the 95th Academy Awards.
In a special ceremony on Tuesday, the Chennai-based franchise felicitated the elephant caregivers, Bomman and Bellie and the Oscar-winning filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves. Apart from that the franchise will also be conducting a special felicitation ceremony for the caregiving couple and the filmmaker at the Chepauk stadium ahead of their clash against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday, May 10. The official Twitter handle of the CSK posted a video and pictures of the interaction between MS Dhoni and the documentary team. The tweet read,

The 41-minute-long documentary tells a special story about two elephant caregivers Bellie and Bomman who adopt two elephant calves Raghu and Ammu, and the bond that develops between them. The movie was the directorial debut of Kartiki.
Speaking of the MS Dhoni-led squad, the Yellow Army sits at number 2 on the points table. After taking down the record-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians in their last match, they are set to take on Delhi Capitals in another home game on May 10, Wednesday.
