With a few days left for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy Down Under, Australian skipper Pat Cummins once again grabbed headlines for his witty comments for the Indian cricket team. Australia and India will face each other for the first Test of a five-match series in Perth on November 22. Ahead of the first Test, a few Australian players including the likes of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon were asked to pick one Indian player into the Australian side.
Every other cricketer present in a video picked different players from the Indian team they would wish to see playing Australia. However, Pat Cummins had a different answer of all. Replying to the question, Nathan Lyon picked Virat Kohli, Travis Head picked Rohit Sharma, Mtichell Marsh picked Rishabh Pant and Scott Boland picked Jasprit Bumrah as their favorites among the Indian players. On the other hand, Pat Cummins came up unique response as he said, ‘Nah no one.’
Have him jumping at times: Ian Healy advises Australian pacer to attack on Virat Kohli’s body during BGT 2024-25
Former Australian cricketer Ian Healy came up with a game plan for the Australian to attack Virat Kohli during the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under. The wicketkeeper batter advised the Australian pacers to attack on Kohli’s body and make him jump, duck, weave, bend backwards to save himself. “Body bash. Bowl at the back armpit, that’s the right arm as a right-handed batsman … and it’s got to be hot,” Healy was quoted as saying by Cricket Addictor.
'Have him jumping at times if he wants to ride those deliveries – ducking, weaving or bending backwards. Get that short leg position right next to him on the leg side and if you need a bumper, it’s got to go at the badge. He might try to bust out of a hard spell with a hook shot or pull shot and that will be hard to control if it’s badge height,” the former cricketer further added.
