Even though India lost to Pakistan in their Super 4 encounter on Sunday, the bigger talking point has been Virat Kohli's statement in the post-match press conference. Kohli said that no one had messaged him after he resigned from Test captaincy other than MS Dhoni. He stated that while many others have his number, only Dhoni reached out to him one-on-one while others had plenty to say on television and in interviews.

Kohli had said: "..When I resigned from Test captaincy only one person texted me and I have played with him before- MS Dhoni. Many people have my number and a lot of them have given suggestions on TV but among those who have my number, no one reached out to me.."

The former India captain presented a more human side to him in this presser as he said that these things matter to him. And now just when then the matter was beginning to settle down ahead of India's next match against Sri Lanka, Kohli has now shared a quote on his Instagram stories that seems to be an echo of what he said at the press conference that day.

"Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They're the ones who deserve special places in your heart," he shared.

As far as his batting form is concerned, the 33-year-old is seemingly getting back to his prime form after he scored back-to-back half-centuries against Hong Kong and Pakistan post a 35 against Pakistan in their tournament opener. Team India will hope that he continues his good run of form into the rest of the tournament and carries that through to the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
