Phoenix Suns' player Chris Paul, who missed the first two games of the side’s Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Clippers, is set to return to the court for Game 3, the team confirmed on Wednesday.

Paul reportedly underwent a cardio exam on Wednesday morning and cleared it, which is mandatory according to NBA's health and safety protocols.

Following the Suns' clean sweep against Denver Nuggets, Paul flew to Los Angeles where he was tested positive. However, since he has been asymptomatic and is vaccinated NBA has shortened the typical quarantine timeline for the player.

The Suns won the first two games of the series against the clippers and are leading 2-0. However, both were close games and Suns would be hoping for a more dominant performance with the return of Paul.

"I'm sure if I tried to keep Chris out of the game, we'd have to square off and go toe-to-toe," Phoenix coach Monty Williams said before Game 2. "So we'll just make that assessment when the time comes."

Before testing positive, Paul was in sublime form for the Suns, averaging 25.5 points on 62.7% shooting while pulling off 41 assists against just five turnovers in the four games.
