In the 18th encounter of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, fans witnessed an exciting clash where Gujarat Titans took over Punjab Kings at their home ground on Thursday (April 13) . Punjab, despite fielding at their best, failed to clinch the win, and Hardik Pandya’s side pulled the win by 6 wickets. However, despite Punjab’s losing to the reigning IPL champions, it was their owner, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta’s reaction to Shubman Gill’s wicket that has gone viral on social media.
As Gill was dismissed by Sam Curran, the actress couldn’t keep calm and was seen enjoying the moment. The Bollywood celebrity was seen enjoying the pivotal wicket with Bollywood actors Sonu Sood and Arbaaz Khan.
Though the wicket came at an important stage of the game, Punjab’s side couldn’t clinch victory in the Thursday thriller, and Gujarat walked away with the win. On Gujarat’s side, it was Shubman Gill who played a key knock of 67 runs off 49 balls before he was castled by Sam Curran. Curran, who is Punjab’s most expensive purchase in the season in the IPL ended Gill’s knock at 67, leaving Zinta all excited.
However, Preity’s happiness was short-lived as Rahul Tewatia led the team to the victory with a boundary in the final over of the match. Tewatia came into bat when Punjab needed 6 runs off 4 balls, and his boundary led his team home with a victory with one ball remaining. In their upcoming clash, the Titans will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on April 16 (Sunday) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
