For every individual who takes up a sport for a profession, representing the country is always a dream come true. The same goes with the cricketers. They work hard and perform consistently in the domestic circuit until they receive a national call-up. And it seems the hard work and performance have paid off for two of the finest domestic cricketers in the previous season- Rishi Dhawan and Shahrukh Khan.

As per the latest developments, these two individuals are likely to be included in the national squad for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies. The reports have claimed that the selectors have been closely monitoring these two players and their performance in the domestic circuit and they have now decided to give them a chance at the highest level.

While Rishi Dhawan's name is being considered for the ODIs, Shahrukh Khan, who has earned the reputation of 'mini Pollard', is likely to be included in the T20I squad.

Dhawan and Khan have been phenomenal recently

Both Rishi Dhawan and Shahrukh Khan have been phenomenal performers for their team in the recent past. Shahrukh Khan has lived up to his reputation of being a hard hitter of the ball and contributed with crucial knocks for Tamil Nadu in the domestic circuit. In Syed Mushtaq Ali Finals, he played a match-winning knock of 33* off 15 balls and won the match for his team with a maximum against Karnataka. Khan continued his onslaught in the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well. He scored over 250 runs at a strike rate of 186.03 in eight games.

Meanwhile, Rishi Dhawan had a dream run in the 50-over domestic tournament. He finished with the second-most runs and second most wickets and also led Himachal to their maiden title in 19 years. The Himachal cricketer has also hoped for a national call-up very soon while talking to SportsTiger.
