The Men in Blue are taking on England in Match 29 of the Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. While the side is riding high on confidence having registered wins in all five games so far, England will aim to comeback in the competition with bare little margin left.

Earlier in the match, the England captain, Jos Buttler won the toss and invited the Men in Blue to bat first on a red soil pitch. While the Indian skipper is playing his 100th international match as the captain of the side, former Indian cricketer turned commentator, Gautam Gambhir, who is also a part of one of the commentary panels in the CWC, shed light on the skipper.

While commentating in the match, Gambhir hailed the skipper’s composure and his selfless character adding, “Rohit Sharma would have got 40-45 hundreds by now, but he is not obsessed with hundreds. He is selfless cricketer”.
Talking about the match, after six overs, the Indian scoreboard read 27/1 after Chris Woakes clean bowled the Shubman Gill at the score of 9 off 13 balls.
