Sanju Samson have a huge fan following around the world. Whether it is New Zealand or Qatar, fans have shied away from expressing their love for the talented cricketer. Despite performing well in limited-overs format, he has not been a regular member in the Indian cricket team. Fans have constantly criticised selectors and team management for not giving the wicketkeeper enough chance and now Ireland board has offered Samson an opportunity to play cricket at international level.
According to reports, Ireland Cricket Board recently offered Samson a place in its team. The board reportedly has promised Samson that he would be a regular member of the team if he shift to the country to pursue his cricketing career.
Samson, however, rejected the offer and said that he wants to represent India and could never imagine playing for another country at the international level.
Notably, if Samson would have accepted the offer to play for Ireland, he would have had to cut all links to the BCCI and the Indian Premier League.
Notably, Samson was not included in the Indian squad for the T20 World. He also missed out in Asia Cup 2022. Recently, Samson failed to make it to the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.
