On Thursday, September 5, Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav took to his official Instagram account to praise Musheer Khan for scoring a hundred for India B against India A during his debut innings in Duleep Trophy. After Musheer Khan reached the coveted three-figure score at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Suryakumar Yadav brought out the famous MS Dhoni biopic dialogue, which read, “Duty ke baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice,” revelling in the glory of the teenage cricketer on social media.
Notably, in the Duleep Trophy 2024 clash, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Yashasvi Jaiswal got off to a good start for India B in tough batting conditions, stitching together a 33-run stand for the opening wicket in the first session on day one. Shortly after Musheer Khan arrived at the crease, India B started to lose regular wickets, to find themselves reeling at 94/7 after Khaleel Ahmed, Akash Deep, and Avesh Khan picking up a couple of wickets each.
What a knock my boy. Duty ke baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice: Suryakumar Yadav to Musheer Khan
But then, Musheer Khan put together an unbeaten stand of 108 runs with Navdeep Saini for the eight wicket, to put some respectability to the India B score. During this all-important partnership, the Mumbai-born cricketer got past the three-figure mark, which led to his state teammate Suryakumar Yadav hailing him on Instagram.
Suryakumar Yadav used the MS Dhoni biopic dialogue to congratulate Musheer Khan for his debut hundred in Duleep Trophy in a post on social media. He wrote, “What a knock my boy. Duty ke baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice. Safaraz Khan, happy elder brother.”
Musheer Khan brings up maiden Duleep Trophy hundred on debut
Moreover, Musheer Khan, who was the second highest run scorer in ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2024, has had quite a great start to his career at the domestic level after making his First-class debut for Mumbai in December 2022. He has already got a double hundred in the semi-final of the Ranji Trophy, followed by the hundred in the final, and now, the 19-year-old has made his mark in the Duleep Trophy, taking India B to 202/7 at the close on day one.
