Analysis
After facing a defeat in their opening game of the group stage, West Indies made a brilliant comeback against Zimbabwe and registered a comfortable win to stay alive in the race for Super 12 spot. At one stage it looked the two-time World T20 champions might see another defeat when they were reduced to 107/6 but Rovman Powell’s brisk innings helped the side post a competitive total on board. In reply, the bowlers rose to the occasion and bundled out Zimbabwe on 122.
Meanwhile, Ireland produced a stunning display of batting courtesy of Curtis Campher and completed their highest successful run chase to stay in the hunt for a place in Super 12. Scotland posted a big total of 176, which at one looked impossible for the Ireland as they lost 4 wickets on 63 but a brilliant unbeaten century partnership between Campher and Dockrell helped Ireland to register a famous win.
