Canadian music sensation Drake broke the internet when he announced his collaboration with the Spanish football club Barcelona before the all-important El Clasico. In this partnership, the Catalans will be wearing special jerseys with Drake’s OVO logo instead of the Spotify branding as a celebration of Champagne Papi’s 50 Billion streams on the music platform.

But now to display his support and trust for the Blaugrana, Drake has bet a massive sum of money on the El Clasico in favour of a 2-1 Barcelona win. The 36-year-old has put up $833,333.85 in bitcoin on two games - Barca vs Real Madrid and Arsenal vs Leeds after which if he wins his bets, the Canadian would take home over $3,900,000.

The Toronto native shared a screenshot of bets with a caption saying, “This morning should be fun…#OVOBarca #COYG @stake.’’ Check the post here:

Drake, himself, posted the news of the partnership on his Instagram account as he posted pictures of the special jersey with his logo. In the caption of the post, the 35-year-old expressed shock and excitement about this new partnership.

Talking about the monumental fixture at the Santiago Bernabeu, Barcelona manager Xavi spoke about how the importance of the Clasico for both teams. He then addressed how his team is still under ‘construction’ and they would want to get back into rhythm after a disappointing Champions League fixture.

He said, “It is a vital game for us and for Madrid. Let’s see who comes out on top. The project has just started, we can’t destroy everything now. Calm down, be patient. We are still under construction. What happened the other day in Europe makes us angry and sad, but we have to be positive. I think we are on the right track.”

Xavi also talked about the dressing room’s morale before the game and said, “Let’s hope it doesn’t take its toll. We gave it our all, with an excellent first half and we lost it because of details, Europe takes its toll. We don’t like this disappointment. I’m still optimistic and I see the team wanting to win things this season. We have to continue to work, I know of no other path to success."
