Indian middle-order and destructive wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was last seen playing for India during December 2022 in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, and post that he was involved in a serious accident at the spot while driving to his hometown unfortunately due to severe injuries sustained by him he hasn't been seen in cricket field after that and more likely he would be missing out on playing in the upcoming ODI WC 2023.

Here, in this article, we will see three important reasons why team India will miss Rishabh Pant in WC 2023.

1. Lack of aggressive batsman for India in the middle-order:
India's middle order would comprise players like KL Rahul/Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer/Suryakumar Yadav at the number 4 (or) 5 position along with all-rounders like Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan have played anchoring roles only meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav has been a disappointment with the bat in ODIs, thus a solid aggressive left-hand batsman (game changer) will be definitely missed out on a big stage.
