On Sunday, April 14, the former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen, took to his official X account to reveal that he was in a tense situation in his fight a night prior. The 43-year-old spoke about how the plane he was travelling in, got rerouted to avoid the missiles from Iran, who had attacked Israel overnight.
Kevin Pietersen is currently in India to commentate on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. He was travelling on a plane to Mumbai to perform his duties for Mumbai Indians versus Chennai Super Kings clash at the Wankhede Stadium, when the scary moment had happened.
In his latest post on X, Kevin Pietersen narrated the anxiety-inducing incident on his flight to Mumbai, which read, “Well that’s a first. Our plane last night had to go back and add another big load of fuel cos we had to reroute to avoid the missiles from Iran. MADNESS!!!! Anyway, in Mumbai and at Wankede later. One of my favourite cricket grounds!”
Thankfully for Kevin Pietersen and the rest of the travelers on the flight, there were no mishaps before the plane landed safely in Mumbai. On a side note, the former England cricketer also spoke about how Wankhede Stadium is one of his favourite cricket grounds.
