Australia opening batter Travis Head joined Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali to condemn the terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims. On Sunday, June 9, a terrorist attack took place on a bus carrying pilgrims to the Indian shrine. The attacks, believed to have been carried out Pakistani terrorists, killed 10 pilgrims and left more than 40 injured. The horrific accident not only grabbed national headlines but became international news. 

Reacting to the news, Australia opener Travis Head took to social media and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. On his X account, Head uploaded two posts, “All Eyes on Vaishno Devi Attack” and “All Eyes on Reasi”. Notably, recently Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali also took to social media to condemn the attacks, extending his support during the tragic time. 

Travis Head storms into top 10 ICC T20I batting rankings

The Aussie star who had an impressive outing in the IPL 2024, entered the top ten of the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings a few some explosive knocks in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. This is the first time in his career that Head made it to the top 10 rankings, and establishing himself as one of the biggest hitters of all times. 

Head scored 80 runs in three innings in the ongoing ICC spectacle striking at 177.77. The Kangaroos secured the Super 8 spot with a stellar win over Namibia. With the career-best ratings of 651, Head jumped six places and became Australia’s top-ranked batter in the ICC rankings, replacing the 14th-ranked Mitchell Marsh.
