Footballing the world’s most prestigious award, the Ballon d’Or Award ceremony will be co-organized by UEFA from next year. This partnership gives UEFA a global event that traditionally out-ranks FIFA’s world awards. Further talking about this deal, France Football ended a seven-year deal with FIFA regarding the awards hosting rights.

From 2024, the Ballon d’Or awards and ceremony will be co-organized by UEFA and Groupe Amaury, which publishes France Football and L’Equipe. The relaunch is set to include new awards for the best coaches in men’s and women’s football. Talking about this partnership, UEFA stated that they will bring football expertise and their global reach to the annual awards.
The statement said, “UEFA will contribute its football expertise, market the global commercial rights and organize the annual awards gala. Together, UEFA and Groupe Amaury aim to enhance the stature and global reach of the awards while fostering a sense of unity and collaboration within the football community.”

Talking about this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, the Men's and Women's best players were won by Lionel Messi and Aitana Bonmati, respectively. Emiliano Martinez took home the Yashin trophy for the best goalkeeper this year while Jude Bellingham was named the Kopa trophy winner for the best youngster (under 21).
Manchester City and Barcelona Femeni won the Men's and Women's best teams respectively. The Gerd Muller trophy for best striker went to Erling Haaland, while Vincius Jr. won the Socrates Award for humanitarian practices.
