Vanessa Bryant, wife of NBA legend late Kobe Bryant, recently shared a picture of the Los Angeles Lakers star's Nike Kobe 6 Protro Player Exclusive pair in LA Dodgers' colours. Bryant was a massive fan of the franchise and was a frequent at Dodger Stadium in the Elysian Park neighbourhood.

Similarly, the LA Dodgers also paid tribute to the Lakers legend great after his passing in 2020. Coming back to the Kobe 6 Protro, Nike made headlines in 2023 after CEO John Donahoe confirmed that the Kobe line will return on August 24, Kobe Day 2023.
Bryant’s partnership with Nike expired in 2021 and his estate reportedly had no plans to renew their contract. But in March 2022 announced a new partnership with Kobe’s estate, making way for several coveted releases.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Dodgers" PE
In 2024, Nike has promised several exciting releases from the Kobe line which could include the iconic Kobe 6 Protro. The speculations around possible releases have also been fueled by Vanessa Bryant's recent Instagram posts of some stunning Kobe PEs like the “Dodgers” PE on the Kobe 6 Protro.
The pair has the iconic Dodgers’ blue and white as red touches down with baseball-themed tongue embroidery and the heel’s “8” detail. Alongside this PE, Vanessa Bryant has also shared a “Valentine’s Day” version of the Kobe 8 Protro to a “Leopard” rendition and a new hot pink Kobe 4 Protro.
