Indian skipper Virat Kohli took an outstanding catch to get rid of Adil Rashid on Sunday. The inspirational moment came in 40th over of the England innings. Following a good-length delivery by Shardul Thakur, England batsman Adil Rashid lofted the ball towards covers, but what followed was a memorable catch. Although the catch turned out to be a significant moment in the context of the match, Kohli landed on practice pitches while completing the catch and injured his fingers in the process.

Sam Curran puts up a brave show but India win by 7 runs
After Adil Rashid was dismissed, England's scorecard read 257/8 and chasing 330 to win, they looked dead and buried in the match. However, young all-rounder Sam Curran turned the match on its head with his brave and matured innings. Curran not only played attacking shots but also kept the majority of the strike with him to keep his team alive until the last over. The 22-year-old's knock studded with 9 fours and 3 sixes made the equation 19 needed from 12 balls. However, Hardik Panyda followed by T Natarajan delivered a superb over to help the Men in Blue clinch the three-match series 2-1, winning the series-decider by 7 runs.
Will Virat Kohli be available for RCB?
The IPL-bound players from both the teams including Kohli will now join their respective IPL franchises ahead of the T20 tournament commencing from April 9. However, it remains to be seen whether his scraped fingers will have an impact on his availability for RCB in IPL 2021. But given the standards that Kohli sets for himself and the break before the tournament, he should be ready to lead the side.
