Indian batting great Virat Kohli is set to travel for the Ram Temple Consecration in Ayodhya. The entire country of India has been eager for the ' Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Lalla's idol in Ayodhya with invites being sent to countless A-grade celebrities in the country. In this list, several cricketing greats like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have also been invited for the ceremony.
Similarly, Kohli along with his wife, Bollywood celebrity Anushka Sharma on Tuesday, 16th January received the invitation for the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. Hence, Kohli has reportedly taken permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to attend the Ram Mandir event in Ayodhya. The report by Cricbuzz further shares that Kohli will take a day off from Team India's camp ahead of the five-game Test series against England.
The red-ball tour kicks off on January 25 in Hyderabad, for which Team India is set to rendezvous in the Telangana capital on January 20. The team will have a four-day practice session before the opening Test. The report further claims that Indian players kick-start their nets immediately.
