Former India captain, Virat Kohli is currently off the cricketing field after the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. The batting stalwart, who finished as the highest run-getter in the Cricket World Cup 2023, also bagging the Player of Tournament title has been spending time with his family, holidaying in London. However, he will join Team India ahead of the two-match Test series against South Africa, later this month.

 

While his post from the anniversary celebrations went viral on Tuesday, 12 December, another post by the man himself, is doing rounds on social media. Notably, the Indian cricketer who turned vegetarian a few years ago, shared an Instagram story, posting picture of one of his meals with a caption reading, “You’ve nailed this mock chicken tikka ��� @bluetribeofficial my god ������”.

This post left fans scratching their head because the cricketer had quit non-vegetarian because of a cervical spine issue, in regard to make certain changes in his diet. Check out fans’ reactions here:

 

Notably, the 35-year-old clarified that he is eating “mock chicken tikka”, which is not animal-based, but a plant-based food and he continues to remain vegetarian. The dish is usually made from soy. The flavours and textures of the food is what makes people difficult to differentiate between the two variety.

 

The star Indian batter will soon join the Indian camp ahead of the South Africa Test series. Notably, the 35-year-old have requested from a break along with skipper Rohit Sharma from white-ball cricket and both will notably return to the side for the two-match Test series against the Proteas Men.  While the first Test is set to be played from 26 to 30 December at the SuperSport Park in Centurion, the second will be played from January 3 to 7 at the Newlands in Cape Town.
