The New York Jets cornerback Ahmad “ Sau ce” Gardner gifted an icy number 8 pendant to his teammate and quarterback Aaron Rodgers during their recent training camp. The reigning NFL defensive rookie of the year presented the dazzling piece to the four-time MVP in the league, to let him have sauce of his own.
The Jets-themed pendant, which has the number 8 engraved on it, represents the new jersey number of the ex-player of the Green Bay Packers. It has diamonds and a green, emerald outline, while both sides of the piece have the names “New York Jets,” and Rodgers’ name adorned on it.

In the video posted on New York Jets official Twitter account, Gardner was seen giving the surprise gift to Rodgers, after saying, “So you're my jeweler's favourite quarterback.” Then, he remarked, “You know what I mean, Al the Jeweler, so he wanted to cook up something special for you. He brought the idea to me, I said I think it would be a good idea.”

Al the Jeweler, the creator of the pendant, goes by the name of Al Bekdas, who’s shop is mere 10 minutes away from the New York Jets training facility in Florham Park, New Jersey. He has also created a couple of pendants for Derek Carr to give to his Las Vegas Raiders teammates Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby. Furthermore, Ahmad Gardner has been a frequent customer of the jeweler, who brainstormed gift ideas about what to give to his new teammate.
Both Aaron Rodgers and his young teammate at New York Jets will be playing together for the first-time in the season opener on “Monday Night Football,” against the Buffalo Bills on September 11.
