On August 12, Saturday, Bukayo Saka scored a stunning goal in the Premier League 2022-23 season opener for Arsenal. With his solo finish against Nottingham Forest, the 21-year-old mesmerised the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on a beautiful weekend afternoon.
Notably, this Premier League match was delayed by 30 minutes before the 12:30 PM scheduled kick-off, due to the turnstile issue at the Emirates Stadium. With just five minutes to the start, thousands of fans were at the gates, waiting to get in, which meant that there were a lot of empty seats at the venue.
When Arsenal and Nottingham Forest did get underway, the home team made a steady start without troubling the opposition's defence much. In the 10th minute, Brennan Johnson had a great chance to put the visitors in front, after Willy Boly put him behind the defensive line with a header from midfield. But, he could only manage to lift his attempt over Aaron Ramsdale and the cross-bar.

Apart from this moment, Nottingham Forest was on the back foot, especially in their defence, which led to their first goal of the new Premier League season for Arsenal. It was Eddie Nketiah, who hit the ball past Matt Turner from close range, after it took a deflection from Joe Worrall, in the 28th minute.
Then, Bukayo Saka picked up the ball from the right side and scampered along the edge of the penalty area before unleashing a beautiful left-footed strike which beat Matt Turner all ends up in the 32nd minute. With a 2-0 lead, Arsenal controlled the contest till the end of the first half, giving no chance for a potential comeback to Nottingham Forest.
