The Vincent Kompany’s men on Friday (April 7) secured Premier League promotion after their win over Middlesbrough . Burnley won their EFL Championship match against Middlesbrough 2-1 with Connor Roberts and Ashley Barnes being among the goal scorers.

 

What was appeasing to the eyes was the wild celebrations which broke out after the Clarets sealed the game at the Riverside Stadium. The former Manchester City captain Kompany and his players thronged the pitch and celebrated their promotion with the travelling fans present at the stadium.

The Clarets gained this promotion after their best away record and a 19-game unbeaten run. With this, they now stand 19 points clear of third placed Luton, who just have six games remaining and sit at the top of the Championship standings.

 

With seven games still left for Vincent Kompany’s team in the Championship, they will next play against Sheffield on April 11 at the Turf Moor, followed by a clash against reading on April 15.
