It has been a fantastic year for the experienced Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara. In March this year, he signed a contract with the Sussex County Cricket Club for all-format tournaments. With his superlative performances in the County Championship 2022, including two double centuries, Pujara staged a comeback in the Indian Test side. So far, Pujara has slammed 1094 runs in 13 innings at a staggering average of 109.40.

The 34-year-old has translated his red-ball success to the white-ball format as well. In the ongoing Royal London One Day Cup, he has again turned out to be the top contributor for Sussex. Pujara has displayed his ball-striking abilities and unorthodox shots to steer the team at a lavish rate. His performances have helped the team to sit at the pole position with five victories in seven league games.

In the ongoing game against Middlesex, Pujara arrived at the number four position, with the team at 95/2 in the 18th over. The Saurashtra batter continued his blistering form to keep the momentum intact and upped the ante with boundaries in a consistent manner. He completed his third century of the tournament in just 75 balls.
