Brazil forward Raphinha was seen getting involved in a brawl with his Argentina rivals. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier contest between Brazil and Argentina, the latter emerged victorious by a convincing margin of 4-1. Following the heavy win, Argentina players acknowledged that the remarks from Raphinha emboldened them to produce their best against their South American rivals. Ahead of the big game between South American rivals, Raphinha issued some pre-match statements to intimidate his rivals.

"We will break them on the pitch, and if necessary, off it too," said the 28-year-old prior to the clash. However, Argentina looked undeterred by Raphinha’s remarks as they played the game fiercely and routed Brazil to register a convincing triumph. After the result, when Raphinha was walking back towards the locker room, Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez collided with him deliberately. A few moments later, the Brazil forward was harassed by Leandro Paredes as well. Things could’ve gone out of hand in the moment of heat as Raphinha was willing to fight his competitors. However, Endrick broke into the scene and took the star Barcelona stalwart away from the field.

Julian Alvarez launches onslaught against Brazil

With this scintillating success, Argentina have become the first South American side to book a spot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be played in the United States (US), Canada, and Mexico. From Argentina, Julian Alvarez stepped up and notched up the first goal in the fourth minute of the match.

Following him, Enzo Fernandez also scored in the 12th minute. Following the attack from both players, Brazil also strove to fight back with Matheus Cunha’s goal in the 26th minute but Alexis Mac Allister did another damage to Brazil after scoring in the 37th minute and took the game away from the five-time World Cup champions.
