Team India continued their dominant performance in the ongoing ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 as they registered two back-to-back wins. On Wednesday, the Men in Blue defeated Afghanistan comfortably by eight wickets to clinch the second spot in the standings. However, the victory was marred by a fight that broke out between fans in the stands of the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the match between India and Afghanistan.
Rohit Sharma's quick-fire knock of 131-off-84 and Jasprit Bumrah's 4 for 39 in 10 overs guided India to a massive eight-wicket victory against Afghanistan with 90 balls remaining. India are currently placed second only behind New Zealand, who have managed a better net run rate.

The fans mocked Naveen-Ul-Haq with Virat Kohli chants at the start of the match while the two players hugged off their fierce rivalry during the game. On the other hand, a fight broke out between the fans in the stands during the match and the videos went viral on social media. The reason for the brawl is not yet revealed, however, it looked like the Indian fans were involved in a fight against each other. In the videos, fans appeared to exchange blows as fans punched and slapped each other.

Talking about the game, Team India restricted Afghanistan to 272 for 8 at the high-scoring Delhi pitch as Bumrah picked up four wickets while Hardik Pandya dismissed two batters. Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav also picked up a wicket each. In response, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan combined for a 156-run partnership for the first wicket while Virat Kohli (55*) and Shreyas Iyer (25*) finished the match in just 35 overs.
