India is locking horns against New Zealand in the second ODI of the three-match ODI series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. After opting to bowl first, Rohit Sharma-led Team India ran through the New Zealand top-order as Mohammed Shami drew the first blood in Finn Allen.

 

After three quick dismissals inside the powerplay, Hardik Pandya who was introduced into the attack got his first wicket in his opening over. On the fourth delivery of the tenth over, Hardik Pandya took a blinder after one from Shami. C onway, who was on strike leant forward and drilled it low but the Indian all-rounder left nothing and took a one-handed blinder to dismiss the batter.

India are currently leading the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first match by 12 overs. Michael Bracewell’s 140 went in vain as the visitors’ top-order failed to score big. Shubman Gill, who registered his maiden double hundred in the first ODI was awarded  the Player of the Match after his 208 off 149 balls.
