The Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team once again had a forgettable season at the T20 World Cup 2024. Entering the tournament as one of the favourites, Pakistan succumbed to a defeat against the co-hosts, USA and arch-rivals India before registering a win over Ireland and Canada later in the Group A league stage fixtures.
However, a few players performed for them, but the team did not make a mark as a unit and was thus in the radar of fans as well as cricket pundits. The anger and frustration of former cricketers as well as fans was also right to a certain level and an instance of this was visible when Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf was involved in a scuffle.
Rauf, who is reportedly in the USA after Pakistan’s exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, got into an ugly street fight with a few fans who asked him for pictures. In a video, which is spreading like a wildfire, Rauf can be seen walking on the streets with his wife. As a bunch of fans, some of them were even seen donning the Pakistan fan jersey, asked him for pictures, which eventually irked the cricketer.
The 30-year-old was then seen losing his cool as he neared the fans and had to be separated before entering into a physical brawl. However, the conversation which led to this exchange isn’t clear, but it is understood that the fight took an ugly turn after questions over lineage and the country.

Speaking about Rauf, the Pakistan pacer, he etched his name into history books during their match against Canada in New York. Rauf, who turned the game in the favour of Men in Green, got a double wicket over with wickets of Shreyas Movva and Ravinderpal Singh. He also completed 100th T20I wicket of his career, becoming the quickest pacer in history to complete this feat in his 71st match.
