Veteran New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was seen grooving on Bhojpuri song  to celebrate his Nepal Premier League (NPL) title win with Janakpur Bolts. Notably, Janakpur defeated Sudur Paschim Royals by five wickets in Kirtipur on December 21, to clinch the inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League in 2024. Jimmy Neehsam was seen celebrating the title win by grooving on famous Bhojpuri song "Jila Top Lagelu" by Pawan Kumar. 

Jimmy Neesham played a crucial role in Janakpur Bolts’ title win in the 2024 Nepal Premier League. He finished in fifth spot in the list of leading run scorers of the tournament with 247 runs in nine matches at a staggering strike rate of 196.03. Apart from that, Neesham also scalped seven wickets with the ball.

Janakpur Bolts became inaugural champions of Nepal Premier League

Talking about the match, Janakpur Bolts registered a convincing five-wicket win over Sudur Paschim Royals to win the inaugural Nepal Premier League title. Batting first, Paschim Royal posted 184/9 in their 20 overs as Saif Zaib top scored with 69(43) runs, hitting eight fours and two sixes. Apart from that, Binod Bhandari also scored 41(31) runs with a four and three sixes. For Janakpur, Kishore Mahato and Mohammad Mohsin took three wickets each, while Jimmy Neesham and Lalit Rajbanshi scalped a wicket each.

Chasing the winning target, Lahiru Milantha top scored with 87 runs off 49 balls, hitting nine fours and four sixes, while skipper Aasif Sheikh scored a quickfire 33(19) runs. In the end, Harsh Thaker scored an unbeaten 30*(24) runs with two sixes as Janakpur Bolts chased the winning target in 19.2 overs with five wickets in hand, to lift the 2024 Nepal Premier League title. For Sudur Paschim Royals, Scott Kuggeleijn, skipper Dipendra Singh Airee, Saif Zaib, and Ishan Pandey scalped a wicket each.
