The world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City is going to witness the highly anticipated clash between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic at the UFC 295 on November 11 of this year. After years of frequent discussions between all the concerned parties, Jones is set to defend his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Miocic at the upcoming pay-per-view event.
Dana White, the President of Ultimate Fighting Championship, made the announcement of the massive fight on July 8, Friday, in a video package, which was played before the weigh-ins for the UFC 290 commenced in Las Vegas. He billed Jon Jones, 35, as the greatest mixed martial artist of all-time, while referring to Stipe Miocic, 40, as the greatest heavyweight of all-time.

Notably, Jones made his return to the sport after a three-year layoff to win the heavyweight championship with a quick submission on Ciryl Gane in the first round at the UFC 285 earlier this year. Meanwhile, Miocic, the former two-time heavyweight champion, last competed inside the octagon against Francis Ngannou at the UFC 260 in 2021, where he was knocked out in the second round to lose his coveted title.
UFC 295 to happen at Madison Square Garden as part of the 30-year history celebration
Ultimate Fighting Championship is set to host UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 11, nearly 30 years after its first ever pay-per-view event. UFC 1 took place at the McNichols Sports Arena in Denver on November 12, 1993 on pay-per-view, which was later released on home video.
