Just days after getting sacked by AS Roma, the 60-year-old has been heavily linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe, but his next destination is still unclear.
As per the reports, Jose Mourinho was poised to join a club in the Saudi Pro League with one outlet in the country claiming that he had struck a “verbal agreement” with Al-Shabab. But, in a turn of events, the Special One himself confirmed to Spanish news agency Marca that he has no agreement with Al-Shabab while quashing the rumours of him becoming their head coach soon.
In a viral clip from El Chiringuito TV, when a reporter posed questions to Jose Mourinho about what the future holds for him in football, he denied everything that was being said. Upon hearing about the potential of managing Barcelona, the Portuguese had a big grin on his face, signifying what he thinks about anything associated with the arch-rivals of his former club Real Madrid.
Moreover, Jose Mourinho was sacked from his latest coaching role by AS Roma on Tuesday, January 16, after a run of poor results which saw the Italian club exit the Coppa Italia against their city rivals Lazio. The last outing for him as AS Roma manager happened against AC Milan in Serie A, which ended in a 3-1 defeat.
