A mouth-watering clash between Manchester City and Liverpool is currently underway at the Etihad Stadium. With the title race going head to head this season between these two teams, at this stage, it is City who are edging the Reds by 1 point. However, things could quickly take a turn in England's top-tier football competition.

In a high-pressure match, even the basics of things may come hard to players. A similar incident happened during the ongoing match. The player in question is City goalkeeper Ederson. However, he would consider himself extremely fortunate having not conceded an own goal in the most bizarre way possible.

Watch the video of the incident here:

As can be seen, the Brazilian shot-stopper missed a backpass. Whatsmore the ball was rolling towards the goal before he managed to casually clear it inches off the line that matters. Jota was ready to pounce on a possible chance and make it 2-1 for Liverpool but City had an escape.

Having said that while City took the lead early with the help of a Kevin de Bryune goal, the Reds have managed to level the score riding on Jota's goal from inside the block.
