India all-rounder Musheer Khan pulled off a stunning single-handed catch during the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 final to dismiss Raf MacMillan. India, under the leadership of Uday Saharan, locked horns with Hugh Weibgen in the final clash of the U19 CWC 2024 on February 11, Sunday, at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, South Africa. The Australian skipper won the toss and invited the rivals to bowl first.

Men in Blue got off to a favourable start and dominated the first innings, owing to the skilled display by the Indian bowlers. It seemed that the reigning champions had control over the game right from the beginning. During the 40th over, Musheer Khan pulled off a brilliant catch that ended Raf MacMillan’s knock. Khan bowled a length delivery at the off stump, and MacMillan intended to respond with a big shot.
The Aussie played the ball in the air, and the Indian teenager reacted swiftly to it by diving to his left and pulling a single-handed catch to dismiss MacMillan. The Australian was forced to walk back after scoring two runs off eight deliveries. By the end of the 40th over, Australia scored 187 runs with the loss of six wickets.
Notably, India registered their spot in the final clash of the tournament by defeating South Africa, whereas Australia defeated Pakistan to book their final berth. Before the onset of the clash, India skipper Saharan was heard giving a pep talk to his teammates. He said, "Jo karne aaye hai wo karke hi jayenge (we'll definitely achieve what we have set out to do)".
