Former India skipper and talismanic batter Virat Kohli was seen in his joyful mood during India’s batting against New Zealand in the ongoing series . Notably, after registering a defeat against New Zealand in the opening game of the series, the sides were up against each other for the second game in Pune. After opting to bat first, New Zealand could post only 259 runs in 79.1 overs, owing to Washington Sundar’s heroics with the ball. In the first game of the series, India recorded a home defeat against New Zealand after 36 years in the longest format.

While the loss came as a disappointment to fans and pundits alike, an old video of Kohli from the first Test has been going viral. During India’s batting in the game, modern-day icon Virat Kohli was seen entertaining the crowd at the stadium with his unique antics. As he walked onto the field to bat, Kohli was caught doing a hilarious animated walk. Kohli's walk delighted the crowd at the stadium, and went viral on social media. In the match, Kohli had scored a solid 70 in the second innings, after getting out on a duck in the first.

After a disappointing play in the first match against the Kiwis, the Rohit Sharma-led side took the field with an aim to level the series. The first innings of the game saw Indian bowlers including Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar destructing the rivals with the balls. Owing to their heroics, the Black Caps were only able to post 259 runs. 

In return, India got off to a disappointing start with the bat as the hosts lost the crucial wicket of Rohit Shrama on a nine-ball duck. While Yashasvi Jaiswal seemed to have the game in control, players kept changing on the other side. Shubman Gill, who returned to the series after missing the first game, could only come up with a 30-run knock, while Virat Kohli had to depart after scoring only 1 run. Jaiswal was also dismissed in the 27th over after scoring 30 runs off 60 balls. At the time of writing, India were 73-4 with Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan on the crease.
